About the Cactus Cruisers AMC

Cactus Cruisers AMC is an active not-for-profit organization with an international membership of owners and enthusiasts of vehicles built by AMERICAN MOTORS CORPORATION from 1958 thru 1988. No matter what type of unique AMC car you own, we invite you to join the Cactus Cruisers AMC and help preserve the AMC hobby. You don’t even have to own an AMC vehicle, just express an interest in AMC vehicles! Don’t forget about the variety of events our club participates in throughout the year, like car shows, drag racing , swap meets, cruise nights, cultural events and fund raising.

Our information publication the Southwest Scorcher  is published monthly and contains a wide range of information and member news. Whether it’s preservation, tips, meet information, chapter information, history, special features or any and all other information deemed important to the membership, our newsletter and advertisements are free to members. If you are interested in joining AMO, you can do that through their application (separate check required). AMO’s information publication is called AMERICAN MOTORING and is published bi-monthly on the first of each odd-numbered month. In joining AMO, you get the benefits of AMC information nation wide, including cars and parts for sale and you can list your own for free if you are an AMO member. Whether it’s the Cactus Cruisers AMC, AMO or both, you can’t loose. We look forward to hearing from you. Why not bring some ideas with you to help make both of these clubs better? The Cactus Cruisers AMC club meets at different places each month so check our news letter or contact us for the location of next months meeting. We now meet on second Saturday of each month (except December) Oh, don’t forget about discounts at local business who have contributed to help make owing that AMC easier!!

We are anxious to share enthusiasm and help make owning that AMC vehicle just a little more bit more special. We want to hear from you and would appreciate your input to help make the Cactus Cruisers AMC car club one of the best car clubs in Arizona. We would also love for you to be an active member and help with the events planning and coordination. The founders of this chapter have over 50 years combined experience in the AMC collector car hobby and includes the former editor of the award-winning AMERICAN MOTORING magazine, the former director of all AMO chapters world wide and the former secretary of American Motors Owners Association. We hope to hear from you soon, with your help we are bringing ARIZONA’S AMC enthusiasts together to make ARIZONA the best place on earth to own an AMC!
